    Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a form of meditation that helps us notice more how we attend to ourselves. It develops the capacity to be aware, to be present. Mindfulness cultivates the ability to step outside our automatic patterns and really see how these difficult emotions and states arise, how they operate, and find much more conscious, creative approaches to responding to life's many challenges.

Mindfulness can assist you in opening your mind to new perspectives, to be available to know new knowing rather than being caught up in the old ways. Rather than being reactive to life's many commitments business.

"Mindfulness helps us step outside our automatic patterns and find more conscious, creative approaches to life's challenges."

    The Science

There exists a wealth of research supporting the benefits of mindfulness for both mental and physical health. Studies have shown that regular mindfulness practice can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while improving overall well-being.

Neuroscience research demonstrates that mindfulness literally changes the brain. Regular practice can increase gray matter density in areas associated with learning, memory, and emotional regulation, while reducing activity in the amygdala - our brain's alarm system.

Cognitive research shows how mindfulness affects attention and focus. Through One Therapy is an evidence-informed approach for assisting and treating mental health issues via mindfulness.

    What Clients Are Saying

Real stories from real people who have transformed their lives through mindfulness practice.

Thank you so much for the Resilience and Mindfulness session. I found it extremely helpful and it was also interesting that many of the attendees opened up and talked about stress. I almost nodded off when we had the 'Mindfulness taster'! It was so relaxing.
